ONE RULE
FIVE STEPS:
1. KNOW THE PLAN
Participate and review PTPs. Communicate and engage. Understand the hazards and how to reduce risk.
2. WEAR PPE
Give yourself the opportunity for safe completion. Use the appropriate protective equipment. PPE is a sign of a professional, well-focused employee and job site.
3. BE AWARE
Watch for the surrounding hazards. Avoid and address them. Fix them and move on.
4. STOP UNSAFE WORK
See something? Say something. If unclear, if danger emerges, or if conditions change… make safe choices and stop the work.
5. MAKE IT SAFE
Follow the plan and get home safely every day. Make your site safe. Make it safely to any destination for the day. Make your excavations safe. Make elevated work safe. Make your picks safe.
SAFETY SUCCESS
Our success is no accident. All D.A. Collins Companies employees participate in our Corporate Safety Program that was designed with the help of industry veterans and seasoned safety professionals. Each team member is empowered to take safety into their own hands.
Our program includes ongoing training and certifications, continuing education, and incentive-based programs.
Worksite Safety Starts at the Beginning
Your first week at D.A. Collins Companies starts with a review of our comprehensive safety program. This ongoing program provides each team member with the tools and skills to help maintain our target of zero injuries.
