A “Thank You” on National Intern Day
We cannot help but celebrate our wonderfully talented interns today on National Intern Day. While their time with us is short, we appreciate all the support they have provided us since the end of May.
We look forward to watching these fantastic individuals grow. To all of our interns past and present: Thank you for helping us grow. Thank you for choosing us to be part of your career journey.
Our Internship Program is a real-time learning experience to start mastering the technical aspects of construction and project management and all of its disciplines—logistics, planning, estimating, cost analysis, and safety.
It’s also a great opportunity to develop the leadership, effective communication, and relationship-building skills needed in any industry.
Our mentors also see it as a comprehensive learning opportunity.
Steve Jobs once said, “It doesn’t make sense to hire smart people and tell them what to do; we hire smart people so they can tell us what to do.” We realize that interns expect to come and learn from us, but we hope they discover by working with us that we see their time here as an opportunity to learn from them, too.
Our most valuable resource is our employees, and the next generation is our vehicle to continued success. So, our internship program is critical to building effective teams and creating high performers.
Additionally, we see our internship program as a chance to promote and educate younger talent about our prosperous industry and exciting opportunities.
Whether it’s with us—and we hope it is—or with someone else, we hope to inspire younger generations to take advantage of working in the construction industry at some point.
Trust us when we say it will be both a fulfilling and rewarding experience.
